When you use Choply, we may collect:

• Account data: email, username, display name, profile photo, bio, and website (if you provide them)
• Auth providers: if you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the identifier and email they share
• Recipes and content: recipes you create, saves, likes, comments, and follows
• AI generation: images, text, or audio you submit to generate recipes (processed by our AI service and not used for model training beyond the request)
• Usage data: app usage, errors, and device info for reliability and support
• Website: email addresses for the notify list when you sign up for launch updates

How we use your information

We use your data to:

• Provide and improve the Choply app and website
• Process recipe generation (photo, text, voice)
• Show you recipes from people you follow and personalize your feed
• Send account-related emails (e.g., password reset, important updates)
• Send launch notifications if you signed up on our website
• Respond to support requests and debug issues

Data storage and security

We use Supabase for authentication, database, and storage. Data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure. We take reasonable measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with service providers (e.g., hosting, AI services) only as needed to operate Choply. Your public profile and recipes may be visible to other users and on the public website.

Your rights

You can:

• Access and update your profile in the app
• Delete recipes you created
• Delete your account by contacting us
• Unsubscribe from launch notifications via the link in those emails

Cookies and tracking

Our website may use essential cookies for basic functionality. We may use analytics to understand site usage. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser.
