Our first App Store release candidate. On iOS the beta expiry is gone; the Android beta runs through January 31, 2027.

New

• Import from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or any recipe site — Tap Share on a post, pick Choply, and the AI turns it into a recipe. You can also paste a link into the Create tab. Imported recipes credit the original creator.
• Block a user — From the menu on their profile. Neither of you sees the other's recipes, comments or messages. Settings > Blocked Users to undo.

Fixes

• Cooking mode's clock and battery are readable on the dark screen.
• A recipe opened from a link no longer shows a white-on-white status bar.
• Recipes with a splash of bourbon or rum get a picture of the dish, not a cocktail.

New

• Choply Plus and fuel packs — Settings > Fuel Balance opens the store: a monthly plan with 400 fuel a month and a free trial, and one-time packs of 100 and 300 fuel. Monthly fuel is used first and doesn't roll over; pack fuel never expires.
• Delete Account — In Settings. Removes your account, recipes and photos.

Enhancements

• Faster images — Grids and lists load smaller copies of each photo.
• One card per swipe — A fast flick in the feed no longer skips recipes.
• Pinch to zoom — Tap a recipe photo to open it full size.
• Following matters — Recipes from people you follow rank higher in your feed.

Fixes

• The feed no longer drops recipes between pages or shows the same page twice.
• Pull to refresh returns to the top.
• Unlisted recipes no longer show in the fallback feed.

• Faster recipe generation — Recipes from text and photos now arrive in a few seconds.
• Fuel refunds — If a recipe or image generation fails, your credits are returned automatically.
• Better emails — Password reset and sign-up confirmation emails have a new Choply design and more reliable delivery.
• Beta extended — This build runs through November 30, 2026.

• Stronger account and data protections across the app.
• Banned accounts are signed out and can no longer sign in.
• Recipes removed by moderators no longer appear on the website.

• Fuel credits — AI features use credits: 2 per recipe, 10 per cover image. Everyone starts with 100.
• Refer a friend — Share your personal code and earn 10 credits for each friend who joins, up to 10 friends.
• Recipe privacy — Choose who sees each recipe: Everyone, Friends, or Unlisted (link only).
• Save as draft and unpublish — Save a recipe to finish later, or take a published recipe back to draft.
• Password reset and email verification — Reset your password by email; verified accounts show a badge.
• Safer community — Offensive words are filtered, and reports are reviewed faster with AI assistance.
• Nicer recipe links — Shared links now include the recipe name.

• Dietary preferences now boost matching recipes in your feed instead of hiding everything else.

• Direct messaging — 1:1 conversations with mutual followers; real-time message delivery via Supabase Realtime.
• Inbox tab — New Inbox tab replaces Saved in the main navigation; conversation list with unread indicators and badges.
• Recipe sharing in DMs — Share recipes directly to friends in conversations with embedded recipe cards.
• In-app share sheet — TikTok-style share bottom sheet with friend forwarding, SMS, copy link, WhatsApp, Instagram, and system share.
• Recipe reporting — Report recipes for inappropriate content, spam, copyright violations, or other concerns.
• Message button on profiles — Message button appears on friend profiles when you follow each other.

• iPad support — Full-screen on iPad and iPhone; safe-area handling for notch and home indicator; improved PWA behavior when added to home screen.
• Search — Prefix search (e.g. “hali” matches “halibut”), optional max time filter, dietary filter, and a new People search segment.
• Cuisine — “Cocktail” added as a cuisine with 10 seeded cocktail recipes.
• Recipe ratings — Detail screen shows “X people made this” with star ratings (half-star support) and average rating to one decimal.
• Cooking mode — Swipe left and right between steps; progress bar and step index stay in sync.

• Profile recipe count updates correctly when recipes are deleted or unpublished.
